HISTORY OF KOTESHWOR TAEKWODO DOJANG
Koteshwor Taekwondo was founded with a vision to bring world-class martial arts training to the heart of Kathmandu. What started as a small dojang with just a handful of students has grown into one of Nepal’s most respected Taekwondo academies.
Our founder, Nabin Kumar Shrestha, a 6th Dan black belt, established this academy with the belief that Taekwondo is more than just a sport it’s a way of life. Under his guidance, we have trained over 500 students, produced national champions, and built a community of martial artists who embody the tenets of Taekwondo.Today, we are affiliated with the Nepal Taekwondo Association and recognized by World Taekwondo. Our students have represented Nepal in international competitions and brought home medals that make our entire nation proud.

THIS KOTESHWOR TAEKWONDO DOJANG HAS BENN COOPERATING WITH NEPAL POLICE AND COMMUNITY POLICE ,THE FIELD OF PEACE AND SECURITY WITHIN THE KATHMANDU METROPOLITAN CITY WARD NO . 35 .

THIS KOTESHWOR TAEKWONDO DOJANG HAS BEEN OPERATING FROM KOTESHWOR MAHADEVSTHAN LOCATION OF KATHMANDU METROPOLITANCITY 35,SINCE THE 1st OF BAISHAK 2049 B.S.

THIS DOJANG HAS ALSO STARTED A FITNESS CLUB SINCE 2064 B.S AND CURRENTLY 120 PEOPLE ARE TAKING TRANING DAILY IN THIS FITNESS CLUB.

AT, PRESENT THE MAIN TRANING SITE OF THIS KOTESHWOR TAEKWONDO DOJANG IS AT KOTESHWOR JADIBUTI CHOWK AND IT'S NEW TRANING SITE IS IN YETITOL, PEPSICOLA AS WELL AS AT KOTESHWOR MAHADEVSTHAN . IN THIS DOJANG, THERE ARE 750 SENIOR BLACK BELT FIRST DAN , 76 BLACK BELT SECOND DAN, 25 BLACK BELT THIRD DAN AND 6 FOURTH DAN BLACK BELT TRANING IN THIS DOJANG , WHILE MORE THAN 200 TRAINEES ARE RECEIVING TRANING DAILY ON THE JUNIOR SIDE.

Matches Played By Dojang players so far..
1. In the 2nd lucknow open invitation national taekwondo tournament held in lucknow , India in 2010 , Tara kumari rayamajhi from this dojang won silver medal and Basanta saud won bronze medal for the country.
2.In the 1st mount Everest international championship organized by Nepal taekwondo association in sept,22-24,2011 ms. tara kumari rayamajhi of this dojang won the silver medal for the country.
3.Mr. ranjan shrestha, a player of this dojang participated in taekwondo for the first time youth Olympic game held in Singapore from 10th to 25th august 2010, and performed the excellent game. meanwhile, ranjan shrestha won the silver medal in the world taekwondo tournament Asian games korea open and the 2nd mount Everest international taekwondo championship held in Nepal.
4.In the 21st world taekwondo tournament held in mexico from july (15-21), 2013 Mr. ranjan shrestha, a player of this koteshwor taekwondo dojang, managed to reach the second stage .
5.Mr. sakshyam karki participated in the Asian taekwondo camp organized by the international Olympic committee from july 27-august 10,2013.
6.Kajal shrestha participated in the 10th wtf world taekwondo championship in march 2014 in 49 kg and declaredthe best player in senior weight category with a gold medal in Sarawak Chief Borneo Coup Interanational Taekwondo Championship held in Malaysia on 2015 Aug. 22 to 23 .
7.Mr. ranjan shrestha and sakshyam, karki participated in the 17th Asian games held in inchon fron 3rd to 18th of aswin 2071B.S
8.Bivek Kc a player from this dojang participated the WTF world taekwondo championships held on nov 16 -20,2016 in the city of nabar Canada.
9.Currently in the national team of taekwondo, the player produced from this Koteshwor taekwondo dojang are Sakshyam karki, Ranjan shrestha ,Tara kumari rayamajhi, Ujjal guragai,Yujjal gurung, Gyanendra hamal, Kajal shrestha,Sushma shrestha,and Manita pandey.
